Elvis Tribute – Gordon Hendricks
Gordon Hendricks - Vocal Tribute to ELVIS On Saturday 9th August 2008 the biggest ELVIS tribute show took place at BOLTON ARENA. Billed as “THE WORLDS GREATEST ELVIS TRIBUTE CONCERT” it stared SHAUN KLUSH(USA), GORDON HENDRICKS(UK), STEVE PRESTON(UK), JUSTIN SHANDOR(USA), Elvis’s own Backing Group THE SWEET INSPIRATIONS, DJ FONTANA(Elvis’s drummer) and THE GRACELAND BAND.GORDON HENDRICKS is considered by his peers to be the best UK tribute artiste and probably in the Top 3 in the World .In 2005 GORDON won the Grand Final of ‘Stars In Their Eyes’ with a record number of votes. In 2006 he was voted ‘Best 68 Comeback Special’ in UK & Europe. He appeared on BBC1TV on “The Worlds Greatest Elvis” hosted by Vernon Kay. He also appeared on a Celebrity ‘Weakest Link’ with Anne Robinson and Graham Norton’s “The Big Finish” on New Years Eve 2007.Gordon has just returned from Prestwick Airport, the only place in the UK that Elvis ever visited, where Gordon unveiled a commemorative plaque with the Scottish Minister of Transport to mark the occasion. So whether Gordon is with his five-piece band or working solo, he performs some of the King’s finest worksin a style so reminiscent you will wonder if Elvis himself is on stage. Maybe just maybe he is. “…. giving a storming rendition of all Presley’s much loved and best known hits.” THE SENTINEL
