Paul Burling – Comedy Impressionist
BRITAIN'S Got Talent comic Paul Burling could soon be back on the box with his own show. The impressionist has been linked with a pilot show, possibly on ITV2. It could feature a cameo from Harry Hill - one of Paul's best impressions.
The TV Burp star took time out from a family holiday in Spain to contact the dad of three and tell him they all loved his impressions. Paul, 41, said: "I was a bit disappointed not to make the final three. The feedback has been fantastic though.
"Harry phoned from Spain to say congratulations. At first I thought it was a mate mucking about. He was really supportive and said he had been watching. "He said his family had been laughing too. He wished me well and sent a text message after the final. There's a chance we could work together." Paul joked they could even stage one of Harry's comic fights.
He added: "Everyone wants us to do a fight off. Imagine it - I like Harry Hill and I like Harry Hill but which is best? Fight!"
Paul has also been praised by comedians Matt Lucas and Alan Carr, both of whom he mimics.
The joker is the first comedy act to make Simon Cowell laugh this series, and TV's Piers Morgan described him as "the best impressionist we have ever seen".
