Rock N Roll Society

The Rock n Roll Society celebrate the world’s first youth orientated dance music, namely 1950’s Rock n Roll. ‘The Society’ formed in 2007 incorporating original members of The Stargazers and top R&B session men.The Stargazers have backed up the likes of Scotty Moore and The Comets.. whilst as a group they have supported greats such as Chuck Berry, Elton John (40 nights with Elton!), Dr John, Cockney Rebel, Shakin’ Stevens and Paul McCartney. As a headline act in their own right they have toured most countries, including Japan and most recently The USA where they played New York and the East Coast and supported Ruth Brown at the 2006 Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender.

Collectively members of The Rock n Roll Society have performed (and recorded) with rocking legends such as Carl Perkins, Freddie Bell, The Jordinaires, Scotty Moore (Elvis), The Belmonts (Dion), Junior Walker, The Teenagers (Frankie Lymon), The Spaniels, D.J. Fontana, Amy Winehouse, Beverly Knight, Geno Washington, Desmond Dekker, Sleepy La Beef, Hank Wangford, The Jodimars, Slim Gaillard, Don Lang, the list goes on.The Rock n Roll Society combines excellent musicianship with the kind of lively personalities that can whip up a crowd and keep a dance floor packed! Their treatment of classic Rock n Roll shows a freshness and authority that gets the people up, onto their feet from the first note to the last.
